WAI, a leading international automotive parts manufacturing and distribution company, is looking for a Customer Service Associate to join our Distribution Center team! The individual in this role is responsible for handling all duties associated with SCS responsibilities, including but not limited to verifying reported discrepancies, record keeping, troubleshooting, and shipment inquiries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond promptly to all SCS e-mails.
- Effectively communicate findings of SOD (Shipping Order Discrepancy) investigations to all relevant departments and the management team.
- Provide accurate information and support to customers by understanding their requests, answering questions, and offering assistance. Collaborate with other departments to obtain answers for customers.
- Assist Will-Call Customers and maintain a clear customer pick-up shelf.
- Review and research customer concerns (SODs) using the Baan ERP system to identify the root cause.
- Update SODs with approval or denial on a daily basis.
- Generate and communicate the SOD report to the Outbound Team on a daily basis.
- Scan and manage bill of ladings (BOLs) on a daily basis.
- Assist with research and resolution of the Staging and Confirmed not Invoiced report on a daily basis.
- Complete Delphi and GM ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) tasks.
- Conduct research and retrieval of Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.
- Support internal auditing of policies and procedures.
- Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.
- Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-conscious culture.
- Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)
- Preferred: High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification; or two + years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer Skills- Microsoft Office and Outlook, ERP Systems
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Has the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
