Overview:

Pembina U.S. Corporation is recruiting for a Distribution Analyst to be based at the Aux Sable NGL Extraction and Fractionation Facility located in Morris (Channahon), Illinois. In the U.S., Aux Sable is jointly owned by Pembina and Williams Partners. Aux Sable facilities are operated by Pembina.  This position reports to the Manager, NGL Distribution, Planning & Logistics in the Natural Gas Liquids business unit (NBU) part of Pembina’s Facilities division.  

 

NBU is involved in the Fractionation, Terminaling & Storage, and Logistics and Distribution of specification natural gas liquids throughout North America. Natural Gas Liquids are components of natural gas classified by weight and number of carbon atoms – Methane (C1), Ethane (C2), Propane (C3) Butane (C4) and Condensate (mixture of C5+). Fractionation involves separating the different products in an NGL mix out into Ethane, Propane and Butane.

 

This position will be responsible for the coordination, scheduling, and reporting of all railcar operations.  Additional functions will include system support and special projects. This position will work in conjunction with the entire distribution and operations team to optimize all facets of rail, pipe, and truck activity.
 

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
  • Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”. To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com/safety;
  • Direct involvement and communication with Logistics team, customers, and Railroads to effectively manage rail commitments while also balancing pipe commitments;
  • Handle rail data management, which includes creating order, processing Bill of Lading (BOL’s), managing switch lists, and entering outage table data for database management.
  • Act as a liaison with CN & CSX to monitor railcar deliveries manage the fleeting of railcars;
  •  Fundamental understanding of logistic processes to effectively adapt to the applications required for managing rail shipments;
  • Support daily operations with a flexible approach, being able to reprioritize and modify schedules as necessary;
  • Perform month end reconciliation activities as required;
  • Provide support to other rail related and/or distribution activities;
  • Promote team collaboration and foster a safety culture within the office; and
  • Drive and foster a work environment that is inclusive and demonstrative of our Values to all employees and contractors alike.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline preferred;
  • 2+ years logistics and distribution experience required;
  • Exemplary internal and external customer service and communication skills, reflecting Pembina’s Values;
  • Must be highly analytical, a proactive problem solver, and have excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to adapt quickly and collaborate effectively in dynamic environment; and 
  • Ability to work Sunday to Thursday, with a hybrid schedule available.
