Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Dishwasher at our farm-to-table restaurant located in the beautiful town of Cumberland, Maine. As a vital part of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment, as well as assisting with food preparation tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about culinary arts as there will be opportunity for growth into other areas of our kitchen team.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards of all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and work areas
• Operate and maintain the dishwasher, ensuring dishes and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes
• Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
• Adhere to proper food handling and storage techniques to maintain freshness and safety
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy service hours
• Support the culinary team with various tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Prior experience working as a dishwasher or prep cook preferred, but not required (training will be provided)
• Reliable transportation to Cumberland Center, ME
• Strong work ethic and ability to handle a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food safety guidelines
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per restaurant schedule
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
