The Discord Moderator is responsible for creating and managing client Discord servers,
monitoring user sentiment and upholding community values to ensure the overall health and well-being of their community.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create and oversee multiple Discord servers, establishing rules for participating and taking necessary action to ensure that community guidelines are being followed.
- Maintain a pulse on emerging platform features and trends, developing innovative strategies for Get Engaged to drive client satisfaction
- Research and understand the client’s audience, tailoring tone of voice, community guidelines and overall messaging to fit their brand and demographic
- Establish clear objectives and framework for measuring success, deriving meaningful value and reporting findings to internal teams
- Collaborate with internal Account Managers to ideate creative formats and synthesize into best practice recommendations
Preferred Qualifications/ Characteristics:
- 1-2+ years of Discord moderation/administration experience
- Thorough understanding of cyber security best practices + Discord verification processes
- High technical proficiency and vast knowledge of Discord platform
- Sophisticated problem-solving skills - able to tackle unstructured problems and build strategic frameworks for solutions
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Knowledgeable of all major social platforms (Twitch, Mixer, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube)
- Experience navigating complex work processes, tight timelines, and changing priorities
- Natural bar-raiser: curious and passionate, with a desire to continuously learn more
Education: Bachelor's (preferred) or equivalent experience required.
