Role reports to: Tax Accounting & Operations Vice President
Travel %: 5%
Pay: $174,000 - $235,000
What you will do
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership Team member for Tax Accounting and Operations
- Lead the US Federal Consolidated Return process for domestic and US International filings.
- Lead the US State return process related to unitary, US consolidated, and nexus combined state filings
- Collaborate with Americas Tax Director on state and local compliance.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with Tax Planning, Tax Accounting & Reporting, Tax Technology & Special Projects, US SALT, Tax Disputes groups and with the Controller's Group
- Advise the Tax Planning team on the tax effects of proposed and enacted federal, state, and local tax legislation for US Tax Compliance across all US legal entities
- Provide US Tax Compliance input and analysis for all Acquisitions & Divestitures and internal restructuring projects
- Lead integration of capabilities and tools to drive efficiencies and standardization across all US Tax Compliance processes
- Lead integration of Transfer Pricing analysis into the US Tax Compliance process.
- Ensure strong internal control environment including compliance with all SOX, internal audit, and J&J requirements
- Manage co-source provider with regard to US Compliance.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree
- A major in Accounting or Finance is required
- Candidate must possess strong collaborative, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with cross-functional, non-tax personnel
- The ability to anticipate changing requirements and effectively plan across the enterprise landscape is required
- Individual must work well in a team environment; be able to recommend and implement process improvements and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Exceptional people leader with passion for talent development
- Ability to switch priorities quickly and expedite key tasks to meet business needs and manage risk in a fast changing external environment is required
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking and promote innovation and continuous learning within the group is preferred
- An MST, MBA, CPA or other financial certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in Tax is required
What's in it for you
Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $174,000 - $235,000. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
