This position will be a key member of our Supply Chain team and is responsible for the day-to-day management of all transportation-related functions for the entire corporation. The primary responsibilities include successfully leading our Regional Dispatch Hub, Private Fleet, and Ocean/Air/Surface Transportation Management. Preference will be given to those who have demonstrated success in this field with process improvement, leveraging technology for improved operations, scaling business units and are highly service oriented.
This is a primarily remote, full-time position that reports to the Vice President of National Operations. Candidates should be based in the Eastern United States; relocation will not be offered for this position. Travel is expected at around 10%, however, could increase to accomodate business needs.
Salary range: $100,000-$130,000 / year to be determined based on experience and cost of living.

- Lead a team of 3 direct and 2 indirect reports which includes responsibility for conducting annual reviews, employee discipline, hiring and onboarding, and talent development.
- Manage relationships and execution of outsourced transportation providers and freight forwarders to include sourcing, contract/rate negotiation, execution management.
- Responsible for managing the lifecycle of our Private Fleet to include new vehicle lease acquisition, maintenance and repair budgets, and service contract negotiation.
- Manage our Regional Dispatch Department to drive increased service performance while simultaneously lowering total cost to serve in assigned markets.
- Develop and Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) focused on cost control and service level performance to internal and external customers.
- Take ownership of key initiatives directly related to improving KPI performance.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable DOT/FMCSA regulations and maintain CORT’s Motor Carrier Operating Authority in good standing, in conjunction with the Safety Director.

- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience Required
- Proficiency with MS product suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Working knowledge of Dispatch Management Systems
- Must be familiar with standard Incoterms.
- Must be familiar with National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC)
