Summary
The Logistics Operations Analyst is responsible for all the processing of freight and accessorial invoices. You’ll be responsible for supporting all transportation management business processes (i.e., accessorial validation, Freight Bill Audit, and reporting). This position will manage defined processes, repeatable analysis and tasks driving continuous cost and service improvement by recommending and implementing stated improvements. Position will require both engagement with multiple internal departments and carrier interfacing and capable of representing our company on carrier calls.
The Logistics Operations Analyst role is primarily broken into several buckets:
• Freight Invoice Processing= 50%
• Accessorial Audit and Validation= 30%
• Weekly reporting and Analysis= 10%
• Hosting freight pay/CASS calls to review aging= 5%
• Collaboration w/ Freight Pay team on process improvement projects 5%
Who You Are & What You Will Do
As an Analyst, you will be responsible: Auditing Carrier Invoices Verifying surcharges, rate changes and route changes agree with set contracts/agreements.
Research and resolve discrepancies Review documents for accuracy and completeness. Interface with other departments to resolve issues. Review contracts from carriers and customer's carrier contracts
Analyze, communicate, and resolve process bottlenecks and breakdowns in the auditing process Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures Assist with other Auditing department tasks and special projects as needed. Lead Accessorial reporting and validation.
What You will Need to Succeed
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in required for consideration.
- It is preferred that you have at least 2 years of experience in Logistics, transportation, auditing, and freight bill pay.
- You will need to be a results-oriented, innovative think with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with all levels of management.
- You will need the ability to work in a challenging business environment, demonstrating flexibility by managing numerous priorities concurrently.
- You’ll need advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Tableau, financial platforms like CASS, and PowerBi.
- Experience with supply chain TMS, ERP, and YMS systems is a plus.
