Position Summary The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for strategic execution of the Supply Chain function, including leading inventory, purchasing, and material planning on daily process, technical execution, and continuous improvement of initiatives and metrics to support contractual schedules and company fiscal goals.Supervisory Duties
  • Hires and trains departmental supervisors and key personnel to include development of succession planning as well as organizational and talent development.
  • Oversees the daily workflow and schedules within inventory, purchasing, and material planning.
  • Lead and drive process improvement within the group to include interface with other company functions.
  • Establish annual goals and conduct performance evaluations of direct reports that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Provide significant strategic support of all Supply Chain operations to include purchasing/procurement, inventory control, material planning, and contract manufacturer/subcontract management.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Supply Chain related activities and initiatives within the company, providing data driven results and metrics to executive leadership.
  • Lead strategy, long term planning, compliance, negotiations, savings, Supply Chain metrics initiatives, and continuous improvement while collaborating with program management, operations, engineering, finance, and other support functions.
  • Drive Bill of Materials (BOM) release process with Engineering, including revision control, as well as gating of parts procurement with contract manufacturers on non-fully released designs, to include collaboration with Program Management and operations to ensure production schedule adhere to contractual requirements.
  • Interface with Operations and Contract Manufacturers on daily management of SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations planning) process to ensure procurement execution and inventory distribution meets production schedules.
  • Responsible for developing the strategy, vision and driving performance of all Supply Chain functions resulting in superior cost and schedule performance leading to strong internal/external customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborates with the functional organizations across the organization to identify strategic suppliers and subcontractors, working proactively to meet or exceed performance (cost/schedule/technical) needs.
  • Manages procurement processes and systems. ensures processes are aligned with all company objectives, government compliance, and contractual requirements.
  • Identifies and executes initiatives to improve performance based on industry best practices.
  • Ensure risk management strategies and processes are deployed on critical procurement efforts.
  • Ability to manage change in an organization, reengineering its culture and approach to workload management.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field required.
  • 10 or more years’ of Supply Chain management experience (including inventory control, procurement, material planning, and subcontract management).
  • Experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry and/or with Electronics companies is highly desired.
  • Substantial operating and leadership experience in a Supply Chain environment within a manufacturing business.
  • Previous experience in the execution and delivery of Supply Chain improvement projects.
  • Possess advanced computer skills and a solid understanding and knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Possesses a strategic mindset and demonstrates ability and willingness to operate tactically.
  • Solid knowledge of defense Supply Chain and purchasing processes.
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS contractual terms and conditions is desired.
  • Experience implementing a high performing Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process is also desired.
  • Ability to travel periodically; expected at less than 15%.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

The employee is occasionally required to move, position self, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally transport up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers, far visual acuity, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.Salary Range

$125,000.00 - $185,000.00

However, Innoflight considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills. Employees may be eligible for profit sharing and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. In addition, Innoflight provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, 401K, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
