Description:
Position Summary:
The Director of Strategic Business Planning will lead the development and design of the Value Chain Network Footprint that will support BBU's future commercial growth strategy (3-5-10+ years). They will work across key functions (commercial brands, manufacturing, distribution, sales) to build key stakeholder alignment and gain senior leadership approval for the plan. They will lead and coach three managers who will be working directly with the commercial brand category teams.
Success will be measured by the identification, approval and implementation of the 3-5-10+ year plans that will deliver the optimal Value Chain Network Footprint.
This role is able to work remotely.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Translate the Company's Strategic Business plans to actionable, quantifiable, and measurable supply chain changes and enablers
- Identify critical supply chain opportunities and risk, inclusive of our manufacturing, distribution and sales networks
- Validate existing and future commercial brand category key priorities and growth assumptions
- Collaborate with our Customer and Bakehouse partners to validate future strategic Private Label and Foodservice strategic growth plans
- Collaborate with the BBU Innovation team to validate current and future supply chain capabilities to support future strategic growth plans. .
- Articulate the Strategic Business Planning vision and scope of work to relevant stakeholders, including senior- and executive-level management.
- Apply analytics and structure plans to solve complex problems.
- Analyze findings to develop insights and recommendations for senior management.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure execution of initiatives.
- Manage assignments and resources over discrete time periods with minimal intervention.
- Leverage technical, analytical, interpersonal, and management skills to implement projects across the organization.
- Impact company profit and loss through measurable supply chain logistics projects.
- Assure associates engaged in or affected by strategy projects possess the operational capabilities to achieve business strategy and project goals.
- Engage and collaborate with individuals at all levels and across functional and geographic areas.
- Empower and hold team accountable to successfully achieve business initiatives.

Education and Work History:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Management, MBA preferred.
- A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
- Ideal candidate will possess:
- Eight or more years of supply chain logistics experience in the food sales or relevant responsibilities in comparable industry.
- Demonstrated problem solving ability, including strong conceptual and analytical skills and ability to turn findings into executable plans.
- Experience leading multiple salaried associates.
- Excellent presentation and written/oral communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively negotiate and influence others.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
- Computer skills and proficiency, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word are required..
- Occasional travel throughout BBU.
