Lucid Motors is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Stamping Operations. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Stamping Operations at our Casa Grande manufacturing facility, as well as managing stamping equipment engineering, dies on all projects, stamping planning for our KSA facility, and critical insourcing decisions.
The Role:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for Stamping Operations at the Casa Grande manufacturing facility.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and enhance overall production capabilities.
- Manage the engineering aspects of stamping equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Work closely with the engineering team to identify and implement improvements, innovations, and cost-effective solutions.
- Lead the development and maintenance of dies for all projects.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure the timely availability of high-quality dies for Stamping Operations.
- Develop and implement stamping plans for Lucid Motors' upcoming manufacturing facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Coordinate with local teams to ensure alignment with global manufacturing standards and best practices.
- Evaluate opportunities for insourcing Stamping Operations and make informed decisions based on cost, quality, and strategic considerations.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to identify suitable suppliers and vendors when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role within Stamping Operations, within in the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of stamping equipment, die design, and manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in strategic planning and decision-making for manufacturing facilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
