Summary:
AMSURG is one of the largest ambulatory surgery center (ASC) operators in the country. The company is on a transformation journey to evolve and capture the next wave of growth and development in a rapidly changing sector of the healthcare industry.
The Director / Sr. Manager of Strategy & Transformation will lead and drive high priority strategic initiatives as part of AMSURG’s Office of Strategy & Transformation. Through this role, the Director / Sr. Manager of Strategy & Transformation will learn AMSURG’s business, its strategy, and team members. Over time, this role will position the successful candidate for growth and opportunities both on the strategy team or more broadly across the organization. The individual in this role will work regularly with the executive team and key company senior leaders to drive impact and outcomes.
Remote First Schedule: Teammates may work from anywhere in the country.
Representative Responsibilities & Topics:
- Develop and launch new strategic / transformation initiatives (e.g. capabilities development, functional transformation, local market strategies, service line strategies, etc.).
- Engage simultaneously with multiple senior-level executives to push projects forward in a matrixed environment.
- Lead complex analytical assignments with imperfect information and multiple levels / types of stakeholders while maintaining a focus on core business values.
- Serve as a project owner for C-suite driven initiatives including initiative management, status tracking, and reporting.
- Create executive-level presentations for AMSURG and other audiences (as appropriate).
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Information Security Policies and ensure that AMSURG remains as secure as possible.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.

- Understanding and passion for healthcare is strongly preferred, but not required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University required; top-tier MBA or relevant Advanced Degree preferred (e.g., MD or PhD).
- 5+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, related professional services, or related healthcare roles is strongly preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
Travel Required:
- Periodic overnight travel required that may flex to 20% on occasion.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment. Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as approved in advance. Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Paid Time Off:
AMSURG offers paid time off, 9 observed holidays, and paid family leave. You accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each pay period and depending on your position and can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.
COMPENSATION:
Please note, this position is remote. The pay range is dependent upon experience and, as presented, is specific to the market in Nashville, TN. Salary bands across AMSURG may differ due to cost-of-living adjustments and are specific to an employee’s address and relevant experience.
Nashville area salary range: $120K - $155K dependent upon experience, with a 20% STI Plan
