As a Director of Software Engineering, you will lead the delivery of our next gen care delivery platform for healthcare, one built specifically for the care providers. From building the team to delivering game-changing products, you will partner with our stellar engineering, product, and design teams in a fast-paced, agile environment to transform ideas into a reality. Utilizing modern methodologies and open source tools, you will be empowered to push the boundaries of development practices, processes & tools to deliver applications that will directly and immediately impact the experience of our teams and our patients. Even though this role is not all hands on coding, you don't shy away from a challenge to contribute to your team’s goals.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead & grow our engineering team by helping them to prioritize, build and ship the most impactful features to our clinical teams and patients
Build & Retain your talented engineering team through hiring, coaching, mentoring and their professional development
Partner with leadership team to drive Technology OKRs
Partner with CISO and drive the security initiatives within Engineering Teams
Define/Refine processes to improve Software Engineering practices
Collaborate with leaders from Product, UX and Implementation teams on product delivery and business outcomes
Collaborate with Platform team and evangelize architectural & TDD best practices improving scalability, security, reliability & maintainability
Partner with Tech Leads & Product Leaders to reduce overall technical debt
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a professional with:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Software Engineering delivering enterprise grade products
Results oriented leader with experience in leading & managing Dev Managers and Tech Leads
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to clearly articulate technical concepts to business stakeholders and drive outcomes
Prior experience working in a distributed, cloud-based environment either in Azure/AWS/GCP
Must have experience working in an Agile/Devops environment
Familiarity with Healthcare Domain and Hitrust/HIPAA - Preferred
Familiarity with RPA tools - Automation Anywhere - Preferred
Familiarity with functional and/or reactive programming tech stacks - Preferred
Familiarity with our Tech Stack – Vue.js, Rx.Net, Cypress.io, .NET core, Azure Devops, Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, gRPC - Preferred
