Through proprietary, ground-up technology, we are changing the landscape and are empowering client companies to provide broader access to the best retirement services possible while significantly lowering administration costs and increasing efficiency, profitability, and competitiveness, far beyond industry expectations.Role:As a DIRECTOR OF SOFTWARE ENGINEERING (Data and Analytics) reporting directly to the CTO, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction, building a world-class engineering team, and ensuring the successful delivery of data-driven software solutions, tools, and systems to support our data analytics initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data is collected, processed, and transformed into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making and business improvements.

This includes the analysis and enhancement of existing services and the design and development of new data architectures and systems with a focus on scale.Responsibilities:The essential responsibilities and duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:* Provide strategic leadership and technical expertise to guide the development and execution of Data & Analytics platforms.* Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of software engineers.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust and scalable data architectures and solutions.* Establish and maintain high-quality development standards and best practices.* Research, test, build, and coordinate the integration of new software products based on requirements.* Address systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platform requirements.* Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects and provide technical expertise.* Advise on options, impact on other business processes, and system priorities.Required Skills/Abilities:* Experience in the retirement or recordkeeping industry, with a w/strong preference for expertise in IRA, 401k, and other retirement vehicles.* Proficiency in file transfer, EDI, ACH, Wire, or other information exchange types.* Experience working with large-scale, high-availability systems.* Expertise in automatic cash reconciliation systems.* Proficiency with the following data architectures and frameworks:* Spring Data, Apache Camel* NoSQL & GraphDB platforms (Redis, Neo4j, DynamoDB)* Relational database platforms (PostgreSQL & MySQL)* Data lake (Databricks, Snowflake, Cloudera, AWS Lake Formation)* Data streaming (Apache Kafka, Spark, Flink; AWS Kinesis)Education and Experience:* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.* 8+ years of Software Engineering experience with a strong focus on Data and data platform development.* 5+ years of recent full-time, hands-on professional experience programming in Java/J2EE.* Proven experience in leading and managing multiple Software Engineering teams.* Deep technical knowledge of API design, microservices architecture, and integration technologies.* Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering complex technical projects.* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.* Must be US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible to work in the US permanentlyIRALOGIX is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a team that embraces diversity, represents a variety of backgrounds, and upholds inclusiveness.
