MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a Director, Social Content to join our fast-growing Content team to lead social and influencer-led activations while delivering excellent client service. You will be focused on a client sponsorship in the motorsports/NASCAR space, therefore racing experience and travel is required. Agency experience a plus. With a hybrid working policy, employees are only required to be in the Charlotte, NC office 2-3 days per week.
Job Description
Reporting to the VP, Group Director, Social and Influencer Marketing, you will help lead our end-to-end process from social strategy and influencer partnerships to organic and paid creative development, editorial calendars, campaign execution and reporting for our client's NASCAR sponsorship.
  • You will be the client lead on daily communications and strategy; also oversee daily workflow and program management across internal and external teams (idea sessions, briefings, strategy and deck building, budget management, and billing).
  • You will partner with our sponsorship/consulting team to lead integrated strategies for activation planning.
  • You will develop influencer strategies and manage talent execution and associated content planning.
  • You will lead quarterly and monthly social reporting translates data into actionable insights.
  • You will organically grow existing client work and collaborate on new business pitches
  • You will maintain an expertise of content types and audiences across all social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Snapchat.
  • You will help help draft scopes of work and proper adherence to agency/client policies.
  • You will travel to multiple locations that correspond to the NASCAR schedule, including weekends and regular in-person interaction/relationship-building with our client leads.

Qualifications
  • 8 years minimum experience in a similar role with a background in motorsports.
  • You have experience and/or personal interest in motosports, including NASCAR, Indy, and/or F1.
  • You have experience in social media content, strategy, creative and influencer partnerships either in-house or at an agency.
  • You can strategize, pitch, then execute.
  • You understand social analytics and can translate them into actionable learnings, and have experience building and presenting social reports to clients.
  • You are an advocate of diversity and inclusion; you prioritize diverse perspectives and voices
  • You are comfortable working with clients, leading client and property meetings/calls, tracking deliverables and facilitating next steps with external partners and our teams.
  • You are comfortable with finance and reporting, and can manage budgets.
  • You have expertise with deck creation in PowerPoint and Keynote, and writing and presentation skills; ability to translate ideas into tangible deliverables for the client
  • You have knowledge of standard operations across departments including Social, Video Production and Creative; and you can manage team workflows and create timelines based on priorities, resource availability and other project requirements.
  • You have an openness to work with teams and departments, and you excel in a collaborative envionrment.
  • Bachelors in Advertising, Marketing or related field, required; in lieu of degree, equivalent experience in a relevant field required

Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $108k - $125k. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
