The Director of Shared Services is a key leader in GameStop’s accounting Shared Services organization, responsible for the overall direction of the procure-to-pay process for the company, including procurement operations, accounts payables, accounts receivable, lease payables, T&E, customer service, and disbursements. The Director builds and maintains a highly effective and customer focused team; with a strategic focus on sourcing, developing, and retaining talent, he or she builds talent, process, and systems capability to support rapid organizational growth. Additionally, this individual will ensure that payments are made timely and accurately in a highly controlled and efficient environment. Maintain and build relationships with key areas such as Strategic Sourcing, Merchandising, Treasury, and General Accounting. The role has high levels of organizational scope and technical and relational complexity. The role has a high level of independent decision-making.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
Maintain and improve Shared Service operations by monitoring performance and identifying and resolving root cause problems.
Drive continuous process improvement; build process and system capability to support organizational growth.
Ensure that all controls for the department are monitored and adhered to.
Participate in developing weekly cash forecast needs for payables.
Provide standard reporting on key performance indicators for the department.
Oversee the s hared service teams in developing, improving, and supporting processes related to high-volume transaction matching and corporate billing.
Provide input on company purchasing policies and calendar, ensure adherence through internal and external relationships.
Manage relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization, adhere consistently with all organizational policies related to our respectful workplace.
Work collaboratively with others within and outside of his or her function to achieve goals, simplify processes, reduce costs, prevent loss and ensure that work is completed safely, accurately and on time.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
At least 10 years of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, P2P, and/or Shared Services experience required, including at least 5 years previous managerial/supervisory experience, with demonstrable achievements in building talent, process, and systems capability.
Preferred
Certified Public Accountant
Business-related master’s degree
At least three years of experience with a multi-national Fortune 500 Company with retail and multi-unit operations preferred
