Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Director with a Public Trust Clearance to join our sector of companies. This is a Remote opportunity.

The position requires knowledge of federal grants management systems and the full federal grants management lifecycle, particularly competitive grant review panel support services. Details described below.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • 10+ years of experience, M.A. in related field
  • Management: 8+ years progressive management experience, particularly of 5+ employees, experience in providing developmental feedback and guidance related to maximizing career opportunities; proven successes in setting goals, serving as a resource to employees in achieving goals and building passionate, motivated and loyal teams; Experience developing new project plans and timelines, maintaining and updating timelines, directing the completion of all deliverables associated with federal meetings and events, and assisting with the development and quality control of deliverables as needed to assure the timely and quality completion of contractually required deliverables.
  • Financial Skills: Proven experience in accountability for $1M+ project budget, understanding of building and managing budget, tracking expenditures against budgets, reviewing and approving invoices with attention to detail.
  • Grants Know-How: knowledge of 2CFR200, familiarity with federal grant-making practices and the structure of Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs), previously Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) and standard forms of federal grants
  • Impeccable Communication Skills: Able to effectively work with colleagues towards common goals, uses clear and effective language, appropriate for the audience, communicates in written and verbal form efficiently and professionally (e.g., reports, letters, emails, etc.) and for various audiences (ACF, HHS, Congress, public)
  • Analytical Problem Solver: Accurately assesses complexities and dependencies in projects and activities, preparation of recommendation documents, presentation to senior level decision makers, management of projects to completion through project management tools and regular check-ins with team and client, ability to escalate to supervisor as needed and come with solutions.
  • Client Familiarity: Experience with a federal grant-making agency; Strong track record with customer / client satisfaction
  • Knowledge of Databases, Systems and Work-flow: Experience in: maintenance of data, databases and systems and assure data integrity and validity; designing and implementation of data management solutions to augment and extend the capabilities of legacy systems; serving as database and systems administrator for industry-standard government-owned and contractor-operated systems, as well as contractor-owned systems; supporting the integrate new systems and resulting data into existing processes and workflows; and / or developing methodologies to support technical team in execution of daily activities to include data storage, data validation, data analysis, etc. to support project goals
  • Public Trust Clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Health & Human Services (HHS), particularly the Administration of Children and Families (ACF)
  • Technical knowledge of issues surrounding youth homelessness and adolescent pregnancy, including programs that provide shelter, community services and prevention education for youth, young adults, and families, effective, comprehensive services for youth and their families.
  • Prior experience using advanced implementation of macros and VBA to automate processes in grants management environment.
  • Experience with AI and automation a plus
  • Work with research and evaluation, event management, and business development teams
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
