Responsibilities
- Directs and administers strategic, operational, fiscal and personnel activities for pharmacy department.
- Maintains all regulatory requirements for the development and implementation of policy procedures and security protocols for pharmacy drugs and supplies.
- May be responsible for educating healthcare professionals and patients on medication use as well as compounding and dispensing prescribed medications for patient care.
- Prepares and manages budgets, manages staff and ensures quality services are provided through daily operations.
- Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure competency and patient safety.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
- Five (5) years related experience of which three (3) years must have been in a supervisory capacity
- Required: Current License to practice Pharmacy in state of NM
- IV Certification must be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Desired: Pharm D or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy with MBA/MS
- Desired: Hospital Based Experience
