Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Director of Performance Improvement/Risk Management to join our team.
Under the direction and authority of Senior Leadership, the Director is responsible for establishing, maintaining, coordinating, and periodically reviewing/revising an interdisciplinary hospital wide performance improvement program to ensure the ongoing monitoring, evaluation, assessment and improvement of patient care and the services of the organization. Responsible for establishing, maintaining, coordinating, integrating, and periodically reviewing/revising all current Risk Management components of the Hospital Risk Management program. Responsible for coordinating education and training of staff for regulatory and accrediting agencies standards/regulations (TJC DHEC, OSHA, FDA). Functions in the role of Hospital Patient Safety Officer. Functions in the role of Patient Relations representative.
Education
Bachelor's degree required
Masters degree preferred
Experience
At least 3 years' experience with Quality Management and Performance Improvement required
At least 3 years' experience with Patient Care Standards preferred
At least 3 years' experience with Regulatory Compliance and Accrediting Standards preferred
At least 3 years' experience with Medical/Legal Terminology preferred
Certification
Certification in LEAN/Six Sigma strongly preferred
PMP/CMP, CPHQ, or equivalent healthcare quality/project management certification preferred
If an RN, it is requirement to be registered and licensed as a RN in the state of South Carolina
Other
