What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Patient Access & Reimbursement, Enabling Technologies & Insights Director, will report to the Vice President of Patient Access & Reimbursement (PAR) and will be an integral member of the PAR leadership team. This individual is responsible for shaping the overarching Patient Access Technology ecosystem strategy and execution across the Amgen portfolio. The Director plays a critical role interfacing across the Patient Access, Information Services and Data teams to ensure we deliver on patient support service and capability builds through use of technology including CRM and emerging technologies. The Director is also responsible for building, tracking and monitoring operational performance of all Patient Access services in partnership with cross-functional data and insights teams.
In addition to regularly interfacing with cross-functional team leaders, the Director has a team of direct reports and is responsible for day-to-day leadership and coaching.
Develop, evolve, and maintain the Patient Access technology strategy and implementation through strong cross-functional collaboration and alignment
Create and maintain strong partnerships with the Patient Access Directors responsible for managing our Call Center, Nurse support, Field Reimbursement, Copay, and Fulfillment programs to ensure strategic alignment and strong technology build and operations
Leverage cross-functional relationships with Patient Access IS partners to ensure Amgen’s change and release management processes are updated and followed for the CRM ecosystems
Manage the Business Owners of Patient Access CRMs and lead the technology strategy and roadmap of the CRM ecosystems across brands
Support new product launches by partnering with Patient Access Directors to design innovative and world-class Patient Support Programs
Partner with Patient Access Patient Experience and Innovation team to evaluate emerging technologies and patient support capabilities, and partner to implement pilots and new technologies
Oversee technology budget forecasting, purchase order and invoice management
Routinely present Patient Access technology roadmaps, strategies and insights to senior executive leadership and other high-level, cross functional committees or teams
Build and execute descriptive reports and analytical insights to measure operational performance of Patient Access capabilities
Lead and manage a team of senior managers and managers responsible for enabling technology and leading Patient Access data and insights

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 4 years of biopharmaceutical patient services and/or technology enablement experience
OR
Master’s degree and 8 years of biopharmaceutical patient services and/or technology enablement experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of biopharmaceutical patient services and/or technology enablement experience
In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation of resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience enabling technology (CRM, etc.) for Patient Access in biopharmaceutical space
Experience either leading patient support programs, underlying technology that drives patient support, or data mastering/patient mastering within the biopharmaceutical space
Authoritative command of complexity and ambiguity; ability to see the big picture
Ability to collaborate, lead and influence cross functional teams with a diverse set of backgrounds
Ability to collect, digest and assemble information to drive decision making and solve business problems
Demonstrated autonomy with the ability to navigate complex projects
Experience with supporting field & call center staff
Experience with Scrum Agile frameworks, CRM technology architecture and integrations
Experience with the Salesforce CRM, Tableau or other reporting and analytics tools
Strong understanding of Healthcare Data Mastering and Patient Data Mastering
Exceptional analytical capabilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills to work across and up through the organization, including escalation and mitigation of issues and risks
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
Strong project management and business analyst skills and experience.
Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and inspire teams
