Director of Sales - Commercial Foodservice Equipment
Southern California (Hybrid Employment Possible)
Salary Estimate: $120,000/year + Commission (Up to 5% on New Business) + Benefits Immediate Hire
Job Summary: The Director of Sales for Commercial Foodservice Equipment is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving growth in the Commercial Foodservice Equipment sector.
This position involves developing a national representative network, managing sales in the non-retail supermarket markets (including restaurants, hotels, institutions, cruise lines, and other foodservice outlets), cultivating a consultant clientele, and providing valuable input to ownership on market and equipment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities: National Representative Network (MAFSI): Develop and manage a national representative network, working closely with MAFSI (Manufacturers' Agents Association for the Foodservice Industry) to effectively promote and distribute the company's Commercial Foodservice Equipment. Non-Retail Sales Management (FEDA): Oversee all sales activities in the non-retail sector, including supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, institutions, cruise lines, and other foodservice outlets. Develop and implement strategies to maximize market penetration and revenue. Consultant Clientele (FCSI): Establish and nurture relationships with consultants within the foodservice industry, particularly with the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI). Collaborate with consultants to specify the company's equipment in projects. Market and Equipment Opportunities: Provide valuable insights and input to ownership regarding potential market expansion and equipment opportunities. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth areas.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives in the Commercial Foodservice Equipment industry. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, setting clear objectives and providing guidance to achieve sales targets. Customer Relationship
Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Sales Forecasting: Develop and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to track progress and make informed decisions. Product
Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's Commercial Foodservice Equipment products and ensure the sales team is well-informed to communicate product features and benefits effectively.
Budget Management: Manage the sales department budget effectively and ensure optimal resource allocation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred). Proven experience in sales leadership, specifically in the Commercial Foodservice Equipment industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities. In-depth knowledge of Commercial Foodservice Equipment products, industry trends, and relevant associations (MAFSI, FEDA, FCSI).
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies. Proficiency in using sales management software and CRM tools. Willingness to travel as required.
