Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for a Director of Quality Assurance with 5-10 years’ experience. This is a Direct hire opportunity with an Aerospace company in Oxnard, CA.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises employees in the Quality Assurance Department in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous Quality Assurance management experience preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to make independent judgments and decisions in matters having an important influence on company image and product reliability.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP Quality management system, Oracle based preferred.
- Strong understanding of Cost of Quality and ability to manage toward improvement.
- Experience with Supplier Quality Management including corrective action system, supplier scoring, corrective action plans and management thereof, supplier assessments and audits for general capability, production readiness and project specific.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor's degree in engineering or other related technical fields required; with a minimum of five (5) years of Quality Assurance experience in the manufacture of mechanical valves and filters, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
