Insurity’s NextDirector of Product Management

Insurity’s Analytics Team is at the forefront of innovation and development within the company, driving the creation of novel and scalable analytics products that can benefit our customers. Projects include cross-functional team members within Product, Data Science, Customer Services, and Sales functions. The work will be done using both classical and innovative analytic techniques supported by numerous strategically selected external data sources to achieve industry-leading outcomes.

We’re looking for someone who puts clients first and has a vision for the insurance P&C market. Candidates must like the challenge of brainstorming, defining, and refining features that maximize our insurance-based client’s business value and time to market. You must be driven, communicative, collaborative, and curious. These traits will help you thrive as a leader in our fast-paced, environment. You will own the product roadmap for the Insurity Analytics suite of Products and work closely with members of the user experience and engineering teams to drive our products forward.

What Our Director of Product Management Will Do

  • Report on product development status and hold the team accountable to our commitments.
  • Assist in the creation of a culture that emphasizes the strategy, guiding principles, and core values.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects and Customer Success to determine what data insights need to be derived and the problem statement that should guide the analysis in order to solve business problems and develop new products.
  • Independently develop new ideas for the direction of analytics products and present the benefits to the team.
  • Expresses technical and business concepts, ideas, feelings, opinions, and conclusions, so that others understand or are persuaded to act.
  • Creates an environment that encourages and values the opinions of others and promotes sharing of information and ideas.
  • Communicate effectively & regularly with team members, peers, and leaders.
  • Develop sophisticated predictive models and exploratory data analyses that will unveil key data insights demonstrating both structured and unstructured data.
  • Be a key communicator of analytical results and insights to various team members across the company and customer base.
  • Effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical area of study or equivalent experience required
  • A minimum of 5 years in a people management role, responsible for coaching, mentoring, and full-cycle performance management
  • At least 5 years in product manager or equivalent responsibility within an insurance carrier or vendor
  • Strong ability to communicate complex analyses and concepts to non-technical audiences within and outside of the organization.
  • Ability to collaborate and work autonomously
  • Strong time management, including work planning, prioritization, and organization
  • Insurance domain knowledge in underwriting, claims, analytics or actuarial

We continuously analyze and update our salary ranges for our roles according to market trends to not only ensure our employees are paid fairly, but also help close gender, race, and disability wage gaps. Along with the benefits listed above, the salary range for this role is $120,000 - $215,000, commensurate with experience.
