Director Of Product Management - Insurance

Overview:

A global insurance company is looking for a Director of Product Management to lead and oversee the Product Management team. You will be responsible for supervising the entire product lifecycle, from inception to continuous improvement after launch. You'll collaborate across departments, manage a team of Product managers, and ensure alignment with company objectives. Analyzing market trends, competitor offerings, and customer input will guide your decision-making. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning abilities are vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the expansion and management of the Product Management team, encompassing recruitment, training, mentorship, and encouragement of all team members.
• Hold accountability for the profit and loss (P&L) of all product lines overseen and developed by the team.
• Serve as the primary advocate for the company's products, assuming ownership of all facets of the insurance products managed and developed by the team.
• Ensure strategic coherence among other teams within the company.
• Develop and deliver management presentations to parent companies and associated entities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a relevant field. Master's degree preferred.
• Experience of at least 7 years in the property and casualty insurance industry, with a minimum of 5 years in Product Management. Experience with auto insurance would be a plus.
• At least 2 years of managerial experience overseeing personnel.
• Self-driven with meticulous attention to detail, along with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Possess a proactive work ethic and a willingness to tackle challenges with a determined attitude.
• Familiarity with statistical modeling and generalized linear models would be a plus.
• Proficiency in programming languages like R, Python, or SQL would be a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
