OBJECTIVES: PROVIDE DAY–TO–DAY, HANDS-ON, DIRECTION AND LEADERSHIP FOR THE PRODUCTION, WAREHOUSE, SALES AND MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENTS, ENSURING HIGH PERFORMANCE AND MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Promote operational excellence
- Develop, implement, and assure adherence to goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for all departments under this title’s supervision
- Communicate effectively and clearly, orally, electronically, and in writing
- Provide technical assistance, as needed, to develop and implement process improvements
- Plan and recommend the organizations’ operating budget
- Monitor expenditures, assets, and departmental inventory
- Review and support capital improvement projects in areas of justification, design, specs, capacity, process, and purchasing
- Identify areas to improve quality, efficiency, processes, material storage, and use, waste minimization, and personnel
- Advise and gather/provide data from area supervisor(s), in regard to their specific production area or concentration, of current requirements, schedules, and conditions concerning any production-related issues, including those not specifically listed under this title’s supervision
- Understand and ensure compliance with GMP’s, HACCP, OSHA, USDA, DOT, and ISO
- Communicate and coordinate with manufacturing and sales to ensure both departments are working together effectively and efficiently in order to meet customer demands.
- Provide guidance and support to direct reports
- Establish manufacturing KPIs/performance data and report directly to the CEO
- Communicate with the CEO concerning any issues regarding personnel, sales, and manufacturing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. In Business, Production Management, Engineering, or a related area
- Minimum of 5 years of production management experience; food packaging preferred
- Knowledge of quality, safety, maintenance and warehouse operations
- Experience in providing direct hands-on supervision and effectively scheduling employees
