- Collaborate with plant management to review, analyze, and evaluate business procedures
- Will ensure work environments are safe and adequate (provide policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations)
- Develop and maintain a manufacturing plan (by location) to maintain high standards of manufacturing operations
- Ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in Key Performance Indicators in quality, safety, efficiency, and cost.
- Provide accurate, detailed feedback to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
- Provide support to Plant/Feed Mill Managers of each location in the hiring and training of departmental managers.
- Coordinate with VP Operations and the Plant Managers on a strategic and ongoing succession plan
- Oversee individual budgets vs plant spend.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Assist in disciplinary action and termination of employees as needed
- Bachelor's degree or at least seven years of experience in applicable leadership positions.
- Five or more years of diversified leadership experience in operations/engineering (feed mill/grain processing highly preferred)
- A good business person - the ability to see the overall picture
- Multi-site experience required - diversity of experience in milling ideal (been with more than one company)
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing practices, theories, and policies involved in operations.
- Track record of success in process improvements
- Customer-focused - ability to coordinate sales with capacity
- Experience demonstrating analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Experience implementing programs ideal and not afraid of new ideas
- Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor their people for career advancement
- Ability to write, interpret, and analyze financial and business reports, documents, and information.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
