Job Summary
As the Director of NURSING for LABOR & DELIVERY, you will lead the charge in planning, organizing, and directing resources for one to two departments around the clock. This multifaceted role encompasses budget oversight, strategic resource utilization, talent recruitment, and efficient management of staff. Your impact will extend to achieving quality outcomes, driving performance improvement, and ensuring the seamless operation of services. Maintaining positive relationships with staff, system departments, and managers, as well as overseeing equipment procurement and maintenance, will be central to your success. Qualifications that Set You Apart
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Preferred Education: Master's degree in nursing, Business, or a related field
- Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in the discipline or specialty
- Preferred Experience: 3-5 years of progressively responsible management experience
- Required Certifications/Licensure: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
- Preferred Certifications/Licensure: Desire for Specialty or Administration certification
- Required Courses/Completions: BLS obtained through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- The ideal candidate would need to have experience in L&D and NICU or L&D and Post Partum. Looking for a min of 5 YOE in leadership and is comfortable with at least 1,000 deliveries per year.
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in the discipline or specialty
- Required Certifications/Licensure: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
- Required Courses/Completions: BLS obtained through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network
