Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our home health agency’s clinical operations. The Director of Nursing will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in the comfort of patients’ homes. This leadership position requires a strong clinical background, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage and inspire a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership
•Provide clinical oversight and guidance to all nursing staff, ensuring adherence to state regulations and agency policies.
•Develop and implement clinical care protocols and best practices to enhance patient outcomes.
Team Management
•Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff to maintain a skilled and compassionate team.
•Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Quality Assurance
•Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes.
•Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
Patient-Centered Care
•Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that prioritize patient comfort and well-being.
Communication
•Serve as a liaison between the nursing team, medical providers, patients, and their families, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care.
Budget and Resource Management
•Manage the nursing department’s budget, including staffing levels and resource allocation.
•Optimize resource utilization to meet patient needs and agency goals.
Qualifications:
•Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, active license.
•Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
•CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
•Valid driver’s license required.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in home health setting.
•Minimum of 2 years of Nursing leadership/managerial experience.
•Strong understanding of state and federal regulations governing home healthcare.
•Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
•Ability to collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals and adapt to changing healthcare environments.
•Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement.
