Job Summary: As a Nursing Director, you will provide leadership and oversee the functions of your assigned patient care area on a 24-hour basis. Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement ongoing programs to measure, monitor, assess, and improve the quality of care delivered to patients, with the goal of meeting core measure, patient safety, and service excellence objectives.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for the department 24/7.
- Ensure the delivery of quality services by maintaining adequate resources, staffing levels, staff competence, equipment and instrumentation performance, physical space, and staff training and education.
- Promote continuity of care through the use of an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care and collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to share relevant patient information concerning progress, treatment, and discharge planning.
- Apply continuous quality improvement principles to assess effectiveness and potential adverse effects of care, aiming to optimize patient outcomes and prevent patient injuries.
Qualifications:
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Current Florida RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
- Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in reading/comprehending written instructions and following verbal instructions
- Project planning and management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel programs

Additional Information:
- Compensation: Salary range is $89k - $133k, depending on years of experience (0 – 20 years), and is based on manager-level experience and above.
