Role overview:
TermScout is is looking for a Director of Marketing to help build out core marketing capabilities for its newest division - Screens.ai. In this role, you will focus on demand generation, building and launching digital ad campaigns, website management, and creating amazing marketing collateral. You'll report directly to the CEO, and you'll be able to shape the marketing direction of a new, fast-growing AI company.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in and be authorized to work in the United States. Our process moves quickly and involves a phone screen, video interview, and leadership interview which can all take place in roughly 2 weeks.
What you will be doing:
- Working with the CEO to find and execute the best marketing campaigns to drive revenue growth
- Reporting on progress each week at our Monday Metrics meetings,
- Developing marketing experiments, running them, and using data to inform the marketing strategy of the business
- Helping manage our CRM (Hubspot) ensuring all leads are organized, categorized, and nurtured effectively until they are ready for an introduction to our sales team
- Building a robust nurture workflow network for all inbound leads. Continuously test, iterate and optimize based on performance
- Ensuring that the marketing messaging on our website and other properties is clear, concise, and effective
- Working with our sales team to develop the MQL SQL qualification process
- Working closely with our product team to release product marketing promotions
- Helping develop and execute social media strategies
Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience in related experience, OR MBA and 2+ years related experience
- Strong knowledge of go-to-market principles - you geek out on articles like this
- A track record of success and growth in a similar role
- Strong written communication skills - you love writing, take pride in the craft, and have shareable writing samples you're proud of

Nice to have:
- Good design skills - you create amazing decks (Figma, Canva, Google Slides) or are at least savvy enough to edit images and copy on existing decks comfortably
- Experience in startups with limited budgets
- You're comfortable performing much of the work that's needed - you know that in a startup you have to roll up your sleeves and GSD

TermScout was founded in 2018 by an attorney who was tired of seeing businesses taking advantage of their customers in the fine print of their contracts. The company won the Global Legal Hackathon in 2018, took part in the LexisNexis Legaltech Accelerator in 2019, and went through the Techstars Boulder accelerator in 2020. As of September 30, 2021, we have eight employees, and we're on track to grow to 16 by early 2022. We're a fully remote company that does 1-2 off site retreats in fun locations each year.

Compensation: $75k - 100k annual base salary + stock options, commensurate with experience.
