Meridian Diagnostics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Director to oversee our laboratory operations of our CLIA and COLA accredited laboratory. As the Laboratory Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of all laboratory procedures and results. You will also play a key role in managing laboratory staff, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing best practices in laboratory operations.
Duties:
- Provide leadership and direction to the laboratory staff, ensuring efficient and effective laboratory operations
- Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with CLIA and COLA regulations
- Collaborate with Chief Quality Officer to develop and optimize laboratory techniques and methodologies
- Analyze laboratory procedures and results to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed
- Ensure the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of regulations pertaining to laboratory operations
- Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS) and other relevant software applications
- Extensive experience with a wide range of laboratory techniques, including molecular biology and toxicology
- Proven ability to analyze complex scientific data and interpret results accurately
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
