The Director of Marketing is responsible for contributing to the growth of the company by identifying services and markets, suggesting sales strategies and approaches, and measuring the results of all marketing efforts for the LifeWealth Group’s growth initiatives. The Director of Marketing is also responsible for the development of lead generation activities, building brand awareness and marketing campaigns/events that are innovative and engage both current clients and prospective clients.
This position requires a pro-active approach and an ability to independently carry out the duties of the position. The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, good judgment, and an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. The ability to effectively manage time and multi-task with attention to detail is critical to this role. The Director of Marketing must be confident about decision-making under uncertainty and under extreme time pressure.
Partnering with the Director of Operations for oversight of Marketing responsibilities of Client Operations Specialist.
Experience and Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in business/marketing/communications (MBA Preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in a Marketing Role
- High Level Experience in Marketing Programs, Lead Campaigns, Digital/Social Media, and Client Event Marketing
- 3+ years of experience in financial industry specific to marketing
- Proven experience to drive revenue growth with increased lead flow and high closing ratios
- Strong leadership experience demonstrated
- Experience with Securities, Financial Planning, Investments and Insurance preferred
Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required
- Proficiency in FIRM CRM preferred
- Knowledge of Broker Dealer and Investment Advisory Regulations a plus
- Proficient in Google Apps / MS 360 / etc.
- Demonstrates personal integrity, honesty and is able to deal with confidential information on a daily basis.
- Ability to deal with stress in an ever-changing investment market and financial services
- Excellent time management and strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Responsible for developing high impact and outcomes-focused marketing strategies and driving the execution plans that reinforce the brand and value proposition, drive growth, engagement, retention and loyalty among institutional and intermediary clients.
- Oversee the firm relationship with an outside PR firm as directed by Leadership Team
- LMA (Lead / Manage / Accountability of Marketing Team members)
- Direct day-to-day marketing activities, including research, planning, implementation and evaluation, as well as oversee the marketing budget, resources and deadlines.
- Work to develop a financial content strategy and calendar and implement LWG’s marketing plan to bring build brand awareness.
- Provide high-quality professional marketing advice to Senior Management and Advisors according to acceptable LWG standards.
- Develop deep knowledge of CRM platform and utilize CRM platform integration for sales strategies.
- Reduce both hard and soft costs through marketing efficiency, creating strategies that are repeatable and scalable.
- Lead, oversee, and support marketing initiatives by aligning quality goals and revenue goals of firm
- Think outside the box, identifying technologies and solutions to drive better outcomes.
- Marketing vendor management
- Develop and utilize deep institutional and intermediary insights at the center of all marketing plans to support growth of LWG.
- Adhere to budgeted allocations, advising on making trade-offs and choices to drive high impact solutions using the best methods possible.
- Connect all marketing activities using a comprehensive strategy to create better results.
- Maximize impact of external and internal communications.
- Coach Advisors in support of their business development goals and personal brand enhancement
- Review trending lead closure/loss rates and adjusting strategy to achieve goals
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop engaging, content-based promotional and thought leadership materials in the financial services space
- Determine and monitor KPIs on all financial services marketing activities and expenditures
