Job Summary

The Director of Marketing will play a pivotal leadership role in the development and management of comprehensive B2B marketing strategies, including planning, budgeting and creative strategy of direct marketing, media, digital and database marketing, and competitive analysis, to ensure the successful implementation of integrated marketing campaigns from inception through post-campaign analysis. The Director of Marketing will also be responsible for growth and retention in the consumer market. This role requires a successful track record of developing and executing integrated, strategic marketing plans, managing and executing marketing projects, strong project management skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead the planning and execution of strategy, tactics, and measurement of integrated B2B marketing campaigns and initiatives to drive brand awareness, new customer acquisition and retention, and new product and market launches.
  • Manage the creative development of all marketing tactics, including direct mail, print and digital advertising, email marketing, digital and web content, brochures, RFP responses and sales proposals, flyers, newsletters, and other materials.
  • Direct digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, and content marketing to drive traffic and improve customer conversion rates for both the business and consumer markets.
  • Develop marketing programs to ensure successful product launches, including competitive research and analysis, pricing, and market launch strategies.
  • Work in conjunction with the sales team, utilizing data resources to identify targeted marketing opportunities, events, and sponsorships to maximize exposure and drive leads.
  • Develop and utilize Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics to measure and analyze the effectiveness of Marketing campaigns, channels, and initiatives.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, using KPIs to inform and make recommendations on future marketing investments and opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with agencies, vendors, and media, leveraging these connections to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  • Leverage leadership and mentoring skills to nurture and foster a positive culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, across the Marketing organization and with immediate direct reports.
  • Contribute to various projects working with minimal supervision, including aiding other departments and team members, as directed.

Qualifications – The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in the creation and execution of comprehensive B2B marketing strategies, including direct and digital marketing, brand management, and new product launches, that have driven growth and market expansion.
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital marketing trends, strategies, and platforms, including experience with SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, and web analytics.
  • Ability to research and analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and make recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external agencies and vendors.
  • Strong understanding of Marketing principles, customer lifecycle and journeys, and customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively, innovate, react positively, and adapt to business changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competency and experience in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook; ability to work with cloud-based and mobile technology.
  • Eagerness to adapt existing processes to new, improved systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, initiative, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through to completion.
  • Well-developed decision-making, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills with an ability to explain complex situations in simple terms.
  • Ability to multi-task and accomplish tasks in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in high-availability network environment carrying tight SLAs.
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner always.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate cross functionally with other team members at all levels within the organization with a vital interest in contributing to the success of the company’s goals and strategic vision.

Working Conditions

  • Indoor office working environment with prolonged sitting.
  • Hybrid work schedule with in-office and at-home workdays. Schedule may vary depending on business needs.

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or similar preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in B2B marketing strategy, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Deep understanding of the functionality of Marketing data systems and how to extrapolate data to drive analysis.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
