As aDirector of Marketing in our ChapelHill office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.
ResponsibilitiesHere's why we need you:
This newly created position is valued as important and necessary to AEI's positioning as a leader and growth within the consulting engineering industry. As AEI's Director of Marketing, you will engage, guide, and oversee execution of firmwide marketing initiatives, strategies, and activities.
In this capacity, you will:
- Prioritize and align AEI's marketing initiatives with the company's strategic plan.
- Interface with principals, market leaders, and directors of business development to deliver upon marketing initiatives, strategies, and activities.
- Responsible for strategic leadership of all marketing functions: internal and external communications, proposals, branding, graphic and visual design, digital and print, public relations and events, and social media.
- Supervise the firmwide members of the marketing team.
- Establish practices that enhance consistency and efficiency of the marketing team and improve overall performance results.
- Manage the marketing budget and vendor relationships.

- Proficiency in marketing tools and technologies. e.g., Microsoft Office products, Adobe Creative Suite, Deltek Vantagepoint and OpenAsset databases.
- Interest in design and consulting and its ability to positively impact the world
Education and Prior Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field.
- Master's degree in marketing, business administration (MBA), or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 year of relevant experience and additional 5 years in marketing leadership within an engineering, architecture, construction, or related industry firm.
- Experienced in team leadership and mentoring.
- Experienced in nationwide cross-functional and matrixed work environments.
- Demonstrated leadership participation in industry and/or community organizations.
