JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Logistics Execution manages the supply operation within distribution in North America. This position will push the limits of what our carriers can do to deliver with higher quality and execute on our inventory goals. The Director of Logistics Execution will be responsible for all aspects of supply execution from a transportation point of view. The Director of Logistics Execution reports to the Sr. Director/Global Head of Distribution Support. The Ideal candidate will have the opportunity to lead projects and actively participate in larger strategic company initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs Transportation activities in all aspects of Supply & Arbitrage execution of product deliveries
Responsible for the management and control of supply allocations
Executes on the logistics strategies on product as set out in demand planning
Responsible for the execution on Arbitrage targets & inventory goals
Responsible for the control and management of masterdata on activities impacting Execution.
Makes adjustments to in ground volume to optimize our commercial goals
Communicates and coordinates with internal stakeholders on execution of our inventory targets
Communicates with all personnel, including Fuel Directors, Senior Directors & Company VP’s
Conducts weekly planning & coordination to develop market strategies for the coming week
Responsible for execution of supply optimization strategies
Possesses creativity and thinks quick to make decisions to implement successful procedures within our distribution channels, including carrier development
Serves as first line of communication with our supply & terminal partners
Works independently to resolve issues & communicates accordingly when additional input is needed
Provides exceptional & timely customer service at all times to internal & external stakeholders
Assists with product deliveries when needed & as department staffing needs dictate
Keeps up to date with market trends and developments
Accepts challenges and deals positively with adversity
Maintains a clean working environment
Works well with all teammates
Has budgeting & forecasting experiencing
knows how to directly control/impact supply allocation and terminal management
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate Degree in Logistics required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
10+ years’ logistics or general transportation experience, combination of education and experience will be considered
5+ years’ management or supervisory experience
Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays
Strong computer skills required
Self-Starter with a proven track record of delivering streamlined logistics
