Sunny Sky Products is hiring aDirector of Supply Chain for Procurement and Logistics for a full-time on-site position in Houston, TX.
The Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for leading our Supply Chain & and procurement strategy, including streamlining processes, driving efficiencies, and establishing KPI’s across 6 manufacturing locations. The Director of Supply Chain will play a pivotal role in enhancing and overseeing Supply Chain, purchasing activities, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and Supply Chain management to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining our high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a Strategic Supply Chain vision aligned with the long-term Sunny Sky goals and mission.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Supply Chain & procurement strategy to deliver on the strategic vision and emphasize cost-effectiveness, quality, and sustainability.
- Standardize Processes across manufacturing locations establishing KPI’s and developing an efficient and effective team culture.
- Oversee end-to-end Supply Chain operations, including vendor selection, contract negotiations, purchasing, and inventory management.
- Drive efficiency and optimization across Supply Chain processes, leveraging technology, analytics, and best practices to streamline operations.
- Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and service levels.
- Develop and implement vendor performance metrics, conducting regular assessments and fostering collaborative partnerships.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks within the Supply Chain, implementing robust strategies to ensure continuity and resilience.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
- Strategically build and execute a pipeline of cost savings totaling $1m+ annually.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Sales, Finance and Operations to align procurement efforts with organizational needs.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. Yes
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in Supply Chain management or procurement, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic vision.
- Demonstrated effective negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Track record of developing and promoting internal team members.
- Proficiency in Supply Chain specific software, data analysis tools, and a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices and compliance standards.
