Founded in 2013, Tidepool is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to making diabetes data more accessible, actionable, and meaningful for people with diabetes, their care teams, and researchers. Tidepool Loop is a project to build and support an FDA-regulated version of Loop, to be available in the iOS App Store, intended to work with commercially available insulin pumps and CGMs. Tidepool Loop is not currently available for use.
Job DescriptionPlease note that due to the nature of this role, candidates must be located and authorized to work in the United States. Persons located outside of the United States will not be considered for this role.
Reporting to the Vice President of Fundraising, the Director of Fund Development will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by developing and executing fundraising strategies that drive financial growth and sustainability.
The ideal candidate should be collaborative, strategic, and have a proven track record of exceeding fundraising goals. Additionally, the candidate should be an experienced fundraiser who is adept at building and managing strong relationships with internal teams and external supporters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish a strategic and systematic focus on closing five and six-figure and above commitments from high net-worth individuals.
- Create and manage a portfolio of 75-100 major donors and prospects, helping our donors accomplish their philanthropic goals and ambitions through a relationship with Tidepool.
- Develop and facilitate moves management plans that result in major gifts at the five- and six-figure level.
- Meet or exceed a monthly target of approximately 12-15 productive visits, conducted primarily via ZOOM. 10% or more of anticipated travel.
- Meet or exceed the annual individual revenue goal of $500,000.
- Work independently and be self-motivated in initiating contact with potential donors.
- Support the planning, execution, and evaluation of Fundraising campaigns and annual appeals to ensure acquisition and revenue goals are achieved.
- Collaborate with various departments to ideate, create, and execute fundraising and stewardship initiatives.
- Track and report progress using specific metrics, communicating results regularly to leadership.
- Potential leadership opportunities as the team grows.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
- Minimum 7 years of comparable experience.
- Demonstrated track record as a relationship fundraiser capable of securing significant commitments and meeting ambitious goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork ethic, ability to handle confidential information, excellent judgment, diplomacy, and discretion.
- Ability to be entrepreneurial, work independently, and problem-solve with minimal supervision.
Additional Information
Salary range: $84,272 - $132,259, annual.
