LightEdge is seeking a motivated Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to support our team. Reporting directly to the CFO and overseeing an FP&A team, the Director of FP&A will play a critical role in the financial management and decision-making processes of LightEdge. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of Financial Planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting for the organization. This role is instrumental in providing strategic financial insights and supporting decision-making at the executive level. The Director of FP&A collaborates with departments across the entire company to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
    • Lead and motivate a high-performing FP&A team to help drive the success of the business.
    • Support CFO and management with insightful financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling, to support strategic decision-making.
    • Lead the annual planning and budgeting process, working closely with department heads and executives to establish near and long-term financial targets and goals.
    • Lead the reforecasting process, collaborating with department heads and executives to gather and incorporate key data and assumptions.
    • Manage the preparation of monthly financial reporting for management and the board.
    • Ensure compliance with all financial covenants and quarterly/annual reporting requirements to lenders.
    • Prepare modeling for potential M&A opportunities to assess integration and synergies, financial projections, valuation and returns, and impact to overall company.
    • Assess product profitability and the impacts of product enhancements or new products.
    • Work with project management team to assist with planning and tracking of internal projects and analyze financial impact.
    • Oversee commissions calculations and analysis for internal sales team and external partners.
    • Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, proposing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of the industry and market trends that may impact the organization's financial performance.
Requirements:
    • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with a proven track record of leadership, execution, and strategic thinking. Management experience required.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Superb financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting skills, with M&A experience a plus.
    • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, NetSuite, Financial Planning, commissions, etc).
    • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast paced, high growth environment.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
    • Experience working with private equity investors and institutional lenders.
    • Bachelors in finance or related field. MBA a plus.
