We are looking for an Environmental Compliance/Stormwater Supervisor to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll supervise members of our stormwater team across California. You’ll be responsible for the performance of the team, the performance of your direct reports, the growth of the team, the professional growth of your direct reports, and emulating/executing the S2S Mission, Vision, Purpose. You’ll be a role model for S2S culture. With the support of the rest of the leadership team, you’ll ensure your team has the tools, training, and resources they need to be successful. You’ll champion process development and improvements that will benefit you team.
This is a full-time salaried position based at our San Ramon headquarters.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Training new hires, ensuring they understand their role and performance expectations.
- Scheduling staff and ensuring staff remain sufficiently billable. This includes ensuring staff have appropriate work assignments for the skillset, understand their assignments, and have been properly trained to perform job duties.
- Coordinate closely with Project and Program Managers to ensure jobs are completed correctly on time and on budget.
- Review vacation and sick requests, ensuring adequate coverage for all projects.
- Reviewing timecards and expense reports for accuracy.
- Continually assessing staff performance. This includes providing timely feedback and coaching to staff to ensure staff members are as successful as possible and continue to grow in their roles.
- Support employee professional growth.
- Stay connected with direct reports via frequent 1:1s, weekly staff meetings, and unscheduled communication throughout the week.
- When required, implementing progressive discipline process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
- Valid driver’s license
- QSP, QSD, or QISP certification
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- 2+ years leading teams.
- Ability to identify creative solutions.
- Previous supervisory experience, a plus.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations, a plus.
- Experience coaching employees, a plus.
