Neighborhood Health Center (NHC) is GROWING & actively seeking a Director of Finance. The Director of Finance will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, direct supervision of Finance staff, development of accounting procedures, and oversee the daily activities of Accounts Payable and payroll processing. Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of Finance staff including AP/PR Clerk, Payroll administrator, Staff Accountant.
- Supervises the Billing and Revenue Cycle Managers and activities in the absence of the Vice President of Finance
- Oversee the daily activity of Accounts Payable processing and review, accounts receivable processing and review, payroll processing, analysis and reporting, banking transactions, credit/debit card use, general ledger activity.
- Prepare, enter and or review general ledger journal entries including accruals, recurring entries allocations and adjustments.
- Be available to participate in finance committee meetings
- Support the VP of Finance in the creation, compilation and review of the finance committee reports.
- Provides data analysis that supports the VP of Finance in financial forecasting
- Assist with in-depth reporting and analysis combining information from practice management system and general ledger. Provide information to internal operations and clinical teams to improve efficiency and improve the business operations.
- Responsible for monthly financial dashboard creation, review and analysis for presentation to senior management and Board of Directors
- Reviews and develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommends changes.
- Responsible for creation of all regulatory filing MCVR, cost reports, UDS, EHB grant requirements and financial filing and others as needed for review by VP of Finance.
- Lead on creation of annual operating and capital budget process for review by VP of Finance and senior leadership.
- Monthly meetings with operations team to review previous month's results and corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare all reporting required by HRSA grants and other granting entities
- Liaison between independent auditors and completion of annual audit, audited financial statements and form 990.
- Is able to use the following software applications for regular and accurate financial reporting;
- Microsoft Excel
- UKG Payroll and Reporting
- Practice management system
- Sage Accounting
- Review and approve weekly, monthly and annual visit reports.
- Review and approve monthly provider reporting.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must have a four (4) year accounting degree, CPA preferred.
- 5-10 years' accounting experience.
- Excel, Sage accounting software, UKG, Allscripts PM and Attendance experience
- FQHC or health care experience preferred.
- Business intelligence software preferred

Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 Annual Salary (based on a full time, 40 hour work week)
Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components.
