KNWM seeks a Director of Communications and Public Relations who will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic communication initiatives to elevate the organization's reputation, foster robust stakeholder engagement, uphold transparency, and drive transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute communication strategies in alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership to ensure communication initiatives are strategically aligned with business goals and reinforce the organization's brand to drive expansion and advancement.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key media outlets, industry influencers, and community partners.
- Prepare executives for media engagements and public appearances, ensuring effective communication of key messages.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, clients, community members, government agencies, and advocacy groups.
- Develop and maintain crisis communication plans to ensure the organization can effectively respond to potential crises and mitigate reputational risks.
- Support the creation of compelling content across various channels, including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media, and marketing materials.
- Collaborate with design, marketing, and other relevant teams to ensure visually appealing content consistent with overall messaging.
- Identify and curate engaging brand stories from diverse sources, such as customer experiences, employee achievements, and organizational milestones.
- Implement strategies to enhance positive online visibility.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing production team to maintain consistency in brand messaging across all channels.
- Develop and execute internal communication strategies to keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with organizational goals by ensuring effective dissemination of company updates, policies, and key information across all levels.
- Lead and inspire high-performing organization-wide communications, nurturing a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of communication initiatives.
- Regularly analyze data and metrics to inform adjustments to communication strategies for continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years in similar role. Senior living experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
