RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:


  • The Director of Leadership Development is responsible for planning, developing, evaluating, implementing, and updating our equity-centered, antiracist, and Latinx-focused Leadership Development and workforce programming opportunities for our LatinoLEAD network.

  • Create an annual strategy, work plan, and budget for LatinoLEAD’s leadership and workforce development programming.

  • Lead the evaluation planning and implementation to ensure the accuracy and timely data collection and reporting for each program to drive measurable program outcomes for our Latinx community’s growth and power and to complete reports and maintain statistical information for all grant-required programs.

  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen community and partnership collaborations to support LatinoLEAD’s strategic goals and track and report on new and current community partners.

  • Manage, cultivate, and retain (high-performance) contractors/trainers, presenters, community members as well as volunteers, who support our Leadership Development work to strengthen our equity-centered antiracist and Latinx-focused Leadership.

  • Lead Leadership Development programs and curriculum research, including designing and updating curriculum, to provide consistent and high-quality professional development opportunities to our network of leaders.

  • Working collaboratively with LatinoLEAD’s leadership and communications team to develop and implement goals and objectives aligned with LatinoLEAD’s strategic plan

  • Support logistics, operations, contracts, and other projects as assigned/needed with the team and Board of Directors.

  • Co-lead with the leadership team’s efforts to enhance organizational financial development.

  • Support workforce development programming through partnerships and innovative strategies that support our network leaders.

  • Partner with the Linking Leaders executive team to identify meaningful ways to integrate the solidarity framework into the organization’s internal and external practices, strategy, and culture aligning with the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Build relationships with Linking Leaders quartet members to build trust and understanding of each other's identities and cultures to set the groundwork for partnership.


This is not a traditional desk job. You will spend many days on the phone/video or in email communicating with our staff, media, or community. You will participate and lead in a variety of committees and community events. We are interested in candidates who are passionate about building relationships and leveraging platforms to connect with our internal and external network of leaders and partners. HAVE THESE SKILLS…


  • A track record for translating strategic thinking into actionable results, with a reputation for inspiring creative thinking

  • Demonstrated success as an educational leader or practitioner with an understanding of instructional design and pedagogy; a strong research background is also highly preferred.

  • Expertise in guiding teams and partners through extensive, complex program creation and implementation.

  • Proven experience in program budget development and management

  • Exceptional skills in data analysis and reporting

  • Robust and effective problem-solving skills, negotiation, facilitation, and communication experiences across various cultures and sectors

  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and software database platforms (examples include: Every Action, Grant Hub)

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or extensive experience in this field

  • 3-4 years of equivalent experience in any of the following fields: curriculum development, training, and development, project management, facilitation

  • A dynamic, adaptable, cooperative, and proactive approach; a team member capable of making positive and productive contributions to our growing team.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships while navigating complexity

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish are highly preferred

Status: Full-Time, Salaried

Salary: $70,000-$80,000 (health benefits will be available)

Location: Hybrid model (required at least 2 days a week in the office). Our offices are located at 718 Washington Ave. N, Minneapolis, MN 55401.
