Job Description
Trusted Space is seeking a Director of Business Development reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. This role leads Business Development activities for the company driving Trusted Space growth in commercial, civilian, and government space and space-adjacent markets. The ideal candidate excels at identifying, pursuing, capturing, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities focused on research through operational projects. Key to the candidate’s success is cultivating and managing strategic relationships with industry, academia, and government agencies. The successful candidate works closely with our executive team to set growth strategies, establish priorities, improve capture processes, communicate status, and deliver timely and accurate business forecasts.
Responsibilities include:
- WIN NET NEW BUSINESS sufficient to drive consistent YoY company growth.
- Identify, prioritize, and develop new customers and growth opportunities in space and space-related markets; anticipate and develop new business opportunities ahead of the competition.
- Lead the new business pursuit lifecycle: track and advance specific opportunities, prioritize pursuits, identify resource needs, track pursuit schedules, and provide status.
- Communicate customer needs/challenges to the Technical Team; coordinate the development oftechnical solutions documented in white papers addressing customer needs/challenges.
- Coordinate Trusted Space proposal response to customer RFIs, RFPs, BAAs, and other solicitations.
- Work closely with the Executive Team on strategic projects and partnership opportunities.
- Identify and prioritize appropriate trade show, conference, and marketing opportunities, andrepresent the company at those events.

Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Active/current TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Technology, or the Sciences
- 10 years of experience in business or technical functions
- Experienced in space technology or related sciences
- Familiarity with DoD and/or IC and/or commercial satellite and ground systems
Desired Qualifications
- 15 years of supporting Business Development or customer management in a technology field
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Business, Technology, or the Sciences

Salary Range
The annual estimated salary will be a minimum of $165,000 and will also include participation in a bonus program and additional compensation based off meeting growth objectives.
