Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) system engineering and information technology firm, headquartered in Maryland and Virginia. Incorporated in 1999, we support mission critical Information Technology (IT) business needs for clients within the intelligence community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), Veteran Administration (VA) and for select commercial clients. ACET, Inc.’s technical, programmatic, and analytical professionals are experts in commercial technology, customized solutions, and proprietary government systems.
ACET is actively seeking a motivated defense/aerospace Director of Business Development to support in Aberdeen, MD and Huntsville AL. The successful candidate will have excellent oral, analytical and written communication skills with the ability to identify, evaluate and cultivate new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and funding streams with current and potential customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies for new business consistent with the corporate strategic plan.
- Conduct customer visits, internal meetings, and web-based conferences in support of new Business Development.
- Develop a pipeline of contract opportunities and proactively develop teams of partners to ensure a high win probability opportunities.
- Identify areas of technical expertise where ACET can develop and expand its product lines.
- Responsible for participating in all phases (response outlines, draft development, color team coordination, editing, compliance, submission coordination) of the company’s proposal. process in response to Request for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and unsolicited requirements.
- Coordinate with proposal teams to establish and execute capture and proposal strategy.
- Ability to meet deadlines, commitment to teamwork, and detailed follow-through.
- Must have strong writing and editing skills, be proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Ensure all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Proposal Management/Business Development related roles with a strong DoD background.
- Bachelor’s degree in related technical field (preferred).
- Prior experience working with Army/PEO organizations desired
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to build and maintain long-term partner and customer relationships.
- Network of government decision-makers and DoD teaming partners
- Proven track record in building winning captures leading to contract awards
