Join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of others! We are looking for a Director of Business Development for our Field Outreach Team!
This is a field base role that requires a regularly scheduled commute/travel in the field 4-5 days a week. You will also travel to the closest office in Lake Success, NY and/or the FreedomCare hub closest to you.
Department & Position Overview:
Our Field Outreach team is seeking a passionate and dedicated Director to develop and implement strategic outreach initiatives to engage and support out CDPAP population. The Director of Business Development will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify community needs and develop ways we can attract new patients and caregivers to join FreedomCare.
Organize Community Events
- Through connecting with FreedomCare and local partners, organize and participate in events that increase company visibility and result in more enrolled patients and caregivers into our programs.
- Creates engagement strategies for community events/programs aligned with organizational goals and community needs
- Hosting discussions with health care providers and community stakeholders
- Utilize existing FreedomCare staff to attend community events to ensure multiple lead sources at one time
- Identify target populations and design outreach programs tailored to address their unique requirements
- Maintain branded materials and handout inventory and ordering.
- Become an expert in FreedomCare programs and enrollment process, and educate and support people in enrolling in the program
- Develop and manage relationships with customers, referral sources, and community partners to maximize growth strategies
- Responsible for maintaining and growing conversion rates; improve cost acquisition
- Build a substantial pipeline to meet growth targets by building key relationships and having a thorough understanding CDPAP patient/caregiver needs
- Oversee the process of gathering customer information until service records are created; establish protocols for data collection, entry and follow-up to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Establish clear guidelines and procedures for the timely follow-up on leads generated by the field team. Monitor progress to ensure adherence to guidelines and provide support or guidance as needed to ensure efficiency in lead management.
- Provide training and development opportunities to Field Community Outreach team and ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their roles
Reporting and Tracking
- Monitor budget, spending, and cost per lead and acquisition for leads
- Create Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of outreach programs; Track most effective events and locations for repeat
- Publish monthly/quarterly reports and presentations to VP on outreach outcomes, success and challenges
- Conduct analysis to support need for any other role and areas to cover
- Document feedback, insights and follow-up actions from community partners to support continuous improvement
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of market trends and reports out to VP

- Lead operational reviews to identify bottlenecks and understand the business environment to recognize the "why"; build scalable solutions that contribute to the growth of our business
Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, or a related field
- Experience in Sales, Marketing and/or Community Outreach Programs
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Community Outreach, social services, relationship management or a related field
- Ability to build rapport with community partners to establish trust and confidence in FreedomCare
- Experience speaking with multi-level audience that can include faith-based leaders, elected officials, c-level executives, healthcare professionals, or hospital administrators, etc.
- Must have a personal vehicle with valid driver's license and car insurance; flexibility to travel to various community events across New York City during and outside of regular business hours (including weekends as needed)
- Experience managing multiple marketing events, including changing deadlines, from beginning to end.
- Demonstrated commitment to public healthcare and community programs in the New York City area
- Strong leadership, management experience is a must with an emphasis on mentoring, education and training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences
- Empathetic and compassionate, demonstrating sensitivity to the needs of our patients and caregivers
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders
- Ability to perform responsibilities with a high level of independence, initiative and sound judgment
Nice-to-Haves:
- Bilingual Spanish is preferred or any other languages
- Experience with CDPAP or any other Medicaid programs
- Master's degree in business administration, public healthcare of healthcare administration

At FreedomCare, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides our employees with the opportunity to professionally grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $120,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of your first year of employment. Compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to: skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.
Salary Range
