We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in driving business growth, with an existing book of Business generating at least $50,000 per month of Gross profit. This individual must have the ability to transfer their book of Business with no limitations from existing non-compete or non-solicit agreements.
The Director of Business Development will have the flexibility to work remotely and will have no limitations on commodities or vertical markets served, except for exclusions related to personal goods type shipments or uninsurable goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company's customer base and increase revenue.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and pursuing opportunities for new Business Development.
- Utilize market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the industry.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet the needs of clients and drive business growth.
- Define and achieve aggressive sales targets and objectives, with a focus on exceeding performance metrics.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis on sales activities, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Business Development, sales, or related roles within the logistics or transportation industry.
- Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
- Existing book of Business producing at least $50,000 per month of Gross profit, with the ability to transfer without limitations from existing non-compete or non-solicit agreements.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with a high degree of self-motivation and accountability.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strict adherence to a 90-day probationary period, during which the candidate will define their 30/60/90-day production targets and demonstrate their ability to meet or exceed expectations.
Evaluation Period:
The first 90 days of your tenure will serve as an assessment period to evaluate your sales acumen. During this time, we'll be looking for the following leadership qualities:
