Overview:
As the Director of Analyst Relations at GitHub, you'll be integral in both strategy and execution of our program. This role involves building strategic relationships and enhancing GitHub's market perception through education, customer references, and communicating key product updates. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping analyst views about GitHub's platform offerings and supporting our long-term growth. Collaborating closely with Product Marketing, Product Management, and executives, you'll blend strategic thinking with operational prowess to bolster GitHub's industry standing and thought leadership.

Responsibilities:
Strategy development:
  • Lead the development and implementation of an industry Analyst Relations strategy to support GitHub's key business objectives.
  • Set specific KPIs and benchmarks to establish GitHub as a market leader, reflected in analyst reports and responses to inquiries.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to amplify the impact of the Analyst Relations program.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with key analysts and influencers, acting as the primary liaison for GitHub.
  • Proactively communicate with analysts through various channels, informing them about GitHub’s strategic directions, product developments, and updates.

Operational excellence:
  • Oversee all Analyst Relations operations, managing agreements, budgets, and scheduling regular engagements like briefings and inquiries.
  • Coordinate and facilitate activities including analyst research participation, event engagements, and response to research requests.
  • Handle requests from analysts for information, customer references, and participation in events.
  • Track competitive analysis by analysts to guide product management and marketing strategy, and disseminate relevant insights internally.
  • Ensure effective use of Analyst insights and references to enhance GitHub's market presence, demand generation, and sales enablement.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Analyst Relations, public relations, or strategic communications within the tech industry.
  • Experience influencing analyst perceptions and positioning a company as a leader in its field.
  • Experience working cross-functionally, establishing effective working relationships with all levels within an organization and the analyst community.

Compensation Range: USD $105,400.00 - USD $279,500.00 /Yr.
In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
