Position Summary
Grant's Farm is looking to hire an experienced Director of Merchandise & Retail Operations to join our senior leadership team. The Director is responsible for all aspects of our Merchandise operations as well as the retail photography operation. This includes but is not limited to retail buying and receiving, costing, staffing, safety and quality, customer service excellence, pricing, and profit contribution.
The successful person in this role has experience in and is comfortable with developing and leading a seasonal operation, providing consistent, innovative, and quality retail offerings that drive sales and profitability. This includes everyday staple items, as well as seasonal specialties.

Essential Job Duties
Coordinate the planning and execution of several Retail facilities at Grant's Farm while focusing on team member safety, guest satisfaction and profit enhancement
Develop and execute annual strategic plan and operating budget
Develop opportunities to grow revenues while managing cost, labor, and operating expenses
Manage retail photo operation
Recruiting, training, and managing seasonal and leadership team members.
Scheduling employee work hours to ensure that all shifts are adequately covered and labor costs are within industry standards.
Completing payroll timecards and maintaining employment records.
Ensuring that guests are satisfied with service and quality of product.
Regularly inspecting all work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and proficient sales operations.
Taking inventory of retail, ordering necessary supplies, and receiving deliveries.
Reviewing sales records to determine which retail items are most profitable.
Responsible for sourcing, purchasing and managing of inventory, with a focus on merchandise turns, cost of goods, and margins.
Experience with overseeing merchandise sales operations targeted to a seasonal operation with high local market penetration
Opportunity to develop unique and appealing bespoke merchandise using the robust Grant's Farm brand marks and style guide.
Ability to make merchandise purchases part of the core guest experience.
Proven track record of growing spend per guest, decreasing COGS and labor costs, resulting in bottom line profit growth
Experience with visual merchandising - creating inviting product displays
Ability to analyze existing sales locations and develop plans for improvements. Review the entire guest journey and determine new and innovative sales locations and products to maximize revenues and margins; especially around themed seasonal events throughout the year.
Arranging cleaning and maintenance services including trash removal, pest control, deep cleaning, and equipment maintenance, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Bachelor's degree in retail management, or related field is preferred.
Proven experience working in a successful stadium or arena retail services operation is preferred.
Sound knowledge of labor laws
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
