Summary
The Director of Marketing Strategy plays a pivotal leadership role within Simplot Grower Solutions, entrusted with developing and implementing dynamic marketing strategies to drive growth and meet business objectives. The successful candidate is a creative individual with a demonstrated history of crafting inventive marketing approaches and adeptly guiding teams. Leading a team of marketing professionals, the Director of Marketing Strategy will foster collaboration across cross-functional teams, driving our collective mission to be the #1 choice for growers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust marketing strategies tailored to enhance brand visibility, attract new customers, and cultivate lasting relationships with existing customers in the agricultural retail sector.
- Lead market research initiatives and analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive differentiators, guiding the marketing team in leveraging insights effectively.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop integrated marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives and tailored to the specific needs of our farmer customers.
- Partner closely with the Creative Director to orchestrate the creation of marketing materials, both digital and print, ensuring adherence to brand standards and messaging consistency.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators to gauge the impact of marketing efforts, providing data-driven insights for refining strategies and enhancing results.
- Stay updated about evolving industry trends and emerging best practices, proactively integrating innovations to elevate marketing approaches.
- Manage the allocation of the marketing budget, optimizing resource allocation to maximize return on investment and achieve strategic objectives.
- Foster a collaborative, creative, and accountable culture within the marketing team, offering leadership, guidance, and mentorship to inspire excellence and drive success in the agricultural retail space.
Typical Education
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field from a 4-year college or university
Other Information
- 10+ years of proven experience in a leadership role, with a focus on marketing plan development and strategy
- Deep understanding of agriculture, its dynamics, challenges, and market trends
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a strategic team
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage external relationships
