Dignari is seeking a hands-on Director of Information Technology (DoIT) to lead our internal IT department. The DoIT will posess technical expertise to optimize our Microsoft Government Cloud Computing High (GCCHigh) environment, achieve CMMC 2.0 Level 2 compliance, and manage an outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP).
The ideal candidate will be a proactive doer, unafraid to roll up their sleeves, and will play a pivotal role in maturing our company’s IT security and compliance posture. The candidate should have hands-on experience in managing Microsoft (preferably GCCH) technologies, specifically SharePoint, Teams and Azure, for small to mid-sized organizations in the government services sector.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with Dignari’s overall goals and objectives. This involves understanding business needs and leveraging technology to drive innovation and efficiency.
Budget Management: Responsible for developing and managing the IT budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to meet Dignari's needs while also controlling costs.
Security and Compliance: Oversee the overall IT security and compliance posture, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices. Stay abreast of the latest developments in IT security and compliance, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks. Implement and maintain robust security controls, policies, and procedures to protect Dignari's data and systems from cyber threats. Achieve overall goal of CMMC 2.0 Level 2 compliance. Maintain System Security Plan (SSP) and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAM).
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure Dignari receives the best possible value and service. Manage and collaborate with current outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, adherence to SLAs, and alignment with organizational goals.
Environment Optimization: Maintain and optimize use of internal software, particularly Microsoft 365 products and services within Dignari’s GCCH environment (including Exchange, SharePoint and Teams) focusing on efficient communication, sharing and collaboration.
System Administration: Administration of Microsoft 365 services, including user provisioning, license management, governance, access controls and security settings. This may involve configuring policies for data loss prevention (DLP), encryption, and mobile device management (MDM) using Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on Dignari. Lead the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring the effective use of Microsoft GCCHigh for seamless integration, enhanced security, and successful collaboration.
User Training and Support: Develop and implement training programs for employees to maximize the use of internal software functionalities. Provide ongoing support to users, addressing inquiries and issues.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their IT needs and priorities and communicate IT initiatives and achievements effectively throughout Dignari.
