Sr. Manager, Internal Communications and Employee Engagement

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Senior Manager, Internal Communications and Employee Engagement (North America) to join our Corporate Communications team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Corporate Communications, the Senior Manager, Internal Communications and Employee Engagement will be responsible for driving internal communication and Employee Engagement in North America. In this critical, highly-visible role, you will work closely with various departments, including People & Culture/HR, Marketing, and Executive Leadership, to align Internal Communications and events with overall company goals and messaging. This individual will possess 'out of the box' thinking and push the boundaries as we continue to achieve more than we've ever imagined.

Responsibilities:

Internal Communications – Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive internal communication strategies that align with the company's overall goals and enhance Employee Engagement.
  • Collaborate across the organization, including HR, Communications, and Executive Leadership, to manage and execute internal communication plans for various initiatives, including organizational changes, leadership programs, benefits, and corporate announcements.
  • Create culturally-relevant, digital-first content for internal channels, ensuring consistency and alignment with the company's brand and values.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, providing communication counsel and support as needed.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously improve internal communication processes and tools.
  • Act as a key point of contact for employee inquiries related to Internal Communications.

Employee Engagement - Event Strategy and Execution:

  • Plan, develop and execute a comprehensive global internal events strategy aligned with company objectives. Examples of events include Town Halls, office celebrations, workshops, and employee recognition programs.
  • Partner with regional teams to ensure communications and events are tailored to local needs while maintaining a global consistency.
  • Develop compelling content to promote attendance and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team to ensure consistent messaging across all internal events.
  • Manage the budget for internal events, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and suppliers to secure optimal terms and services.
  • Partner with IT to enhance the virtual and hybrid aspects of internal events, ensuring seamless connectivity for global teams.
  • Explore and implement innovative event technologies to enhance participant engagement.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to measure the success of each event and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for future event planning based on evaluations and industry trends.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications and event management at a global public company.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for various audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Creative and collaborative. Able to build relationships across different levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior leadership and interface effectively and positively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and other relevant communication tools.
  • Ability to travel to EU/US when required.
